Wet day on Carrauntouhill

Not the best day for a hike on Ireland's highest mountain, Carrauntouhill. It rained for most of the day from the start at Cronins Yard, via The Heavenly Gates and back down by the Zig Zag's. Picked up three walkers on the way down who asked for a safe way down so we took them with us. On the way out the Hag's Glen we came across a group of four heading up the Devil's Ladder and to say they were ill equipped was an understatement. If you plan on climbing this mountain in the near future and it's your first time, i would advise hiring a guide as the weather can change in a matter of minutes and you can become lost very easily. Stay safe on the hills. C
